It was Valentine's Day so we decided to go for a romantic dinner, like the innovative people that we are. Had we been in Stockholm or New York, I feel like we would have to pay dearly for privilege of eating somewhere with a view in addition to booking far in advance. Here we booked a table a few days before Valentine's Day and it wasn't even particularly crowded.
Apparently a rather new concept, 私房菜 is different from many traditional Chinese restaurants in that it's not at street level and typically less crowded. As an introverted westerner, I can't understand how that can be a new concept.
At home, our chopstick rests are little dogs so these cats feel exotic.
