In one corner of the Xi'an city wall lies this great restaurant. Apparently very old but this does not prevent it from serving up probably the best meal we had in Xi'an.
Here we have some dried fish fried with chili and peanuts in the front. Then in the back, two pretty typical Chinese cold veggie dishes, one with lotus root and one with sugar snaps. Delicious.
I think I'll warm up to it, but 黄酒, a type of Chinese rice wine is not yet my favorite. Westerners often seem to wary of 白酒 but I actually find that easy to enjoy. Maybe I'm just not used to rice based liquors since I also have issues with sake.
